15OT patent question

Been looking a codgers post on Schrade 15OT, specifically looking at Schrade Walden stamp model. Seems that if I read it correctly 15OT was produced with Schrade Walden tang stamp from 1964 - 1973? With the patent being granted in 1964 yet I find examples with patent pending stamp with serial numbers into the 62,000 range.
Hard to believe they made 62,000 the first year but I guess it’s possible. Any other thoughts especially with variances in sheaths wit pat pending stamp?

Just to add to the question, been reading all the posts I could find on 15ot pat pending stamp and found codgers post from 2006 noting date in 64 when patent applied for and 65 date when granted and knife with serial number in the 50,000 range with no patent pending yet there is one on the bay right now with 62,xxx serial number and patent pending stamp? Also AAPK sight has post proposing 15,000 knives made during first three years of production. Not sure how accurate that is but in looking at the wide variety of sheath types that came with Schrade Walden serial number, patent pending knives came with as well as box changes from hinged to non-hinged brown boxes it seems they were produced long past 65 with the pat pending stamp or did this knife surpass some of their known early high volume sellers in volume as in 62,xxx+ in the first 15 months or so. Golden spike shipments didn’t hit that kind of production until 4th or 5th year of manufacture and that knife sold very well for a fixed blade with serial numbers surpassing 430,xxx alone and produced beyond that point. Any actual info on production or shipped by year? Is it possible the made 60,xxx plus the first 15 months and just waited years to ship them? Doesn’t seem like it would be a good business move. Thoughts? Info?
