Le V stands for vanadium. It goes farther up (exe, 18v) but 15v is already teetering on the edge (no pun intended) of taking steel to it's extremes. It measures up to 65hrc, which is pretty insane, but usually won't reach that high of a hardness. That's where BBB comes in with his extraordinary HT, which pushes 15v to its full potential. There are videos and articles that explain it way better then me, so that's just a super brief summary of 15v.That is sick! I gotta look into what 15V is all about, but I like it, Spyderco always has the coolest steel options
Edit: wow edge retention better than M398, and similar toughness as M390, dayum![]()
Spyderco lists it at $292 MSRP but various online retailers list it with a retail price of $204.40.How much is this knife?
MadeOnABench posted the cost (and it looks like you saw it already), but it also might sell out really fast, so pricing isn't the only issue. They already released Manix 2 15v's and they sold out so fast that people on Knife_Swap are paying up to 60 bucks over the retail price. How much is this knife?
And as much as $150 over.they sold out so fast that people on Knife_Swap are paying up to 60 bucks over the retail price.
