Thanks for all your help, I've decided to go with the CAK at 16.5" , I asked for one with a longer handle and straighter curvature, I figured I'll be able to use it for camp and training, especially if both of those qualities exist in a CAK, it would be calling out to me.
Anyways, I just wanted to thank everyone that helped me make this decision and I am honored to be part of this community.
Thanks all

Well..... I see i had no part in it and was remiss in welcoming you.
Please pardon my manners.

G`day, enzymez , glad to have helped. Given your specific request for a camp chopper, the CAK is an excellent choice . Please do not disregard the many HI blades, all aimed at specific jobs. The CAK is agreat allrounder. Enjoy. Cheers, Mike.

Enzy, I love my 16.5" CAK. In contrast to it's bullet proof construction and heavy handed reputation, mine is relatively nimble and well balanced at about 29 oz. It feels great in the hand too. Your choice should take care of eveything you need a khuk to do. Your custom touches will be interesting. The longer handle just might add a nice bit of versatility. The request for a straighter profile is especially interesting. The CAK isn't a real curvey gal to begin with. That being said, the Dui Chirra has a cult following due to it's more western/less curved profile. You might end up with the prototype of a popular new model. Please give us a review upon arrival. Welcome to our disease/paradise and be safe!

Fine choice Enzy. The CAK can handle virtually anything a blade is called upon to accomplish. I think you will be pleased.
