Received my Sgt Khadka 16" Bonecutter a few days ago. Fit and finish were up there with the best of HI. Its pretty odd to see something from HI without any initials. The only nitpick was that the tang protuded just under 1/16" from the front and back of the handle ring. Some file work took care of it. The edge was serviceable but I improved it with some stropping and steeling.

I had a bush in my yard that I had been intending to get rid of for a while and figured that it would do for my BC's debut. It was composed of several 1-2" limbs as well as a growing Mulberry tree that was about 3" thick.

After about 20 minutes of labor, the bush was reduced to future bonfire fodder as the pic below shows.

With the protuding tang spots filed back, the BC was pretty comfortable to use. I didn't notice any excessive vibration from the Chiruwa handle when chopping, though this was to be expected when dealing with small limbs of green wood. The tang gave the BC a more neutral balance while allowing it to be effective with snap cut strokes using the last 3-4" of the edge. This allowed me to make short work of the bush without hitting the ground or banging my hand on the stumps. Afterwards, a bit of steeling brought any lost sharpness back. Using it made me think of the 16.5" CAK and how popular it is. I can see why now.

Next chance that I get at some decent sized wood, I'm going to do a head-to-head with the BC and a 17.5" BGRS that I have. It'll be interesting to see how they compare.

I like the 16" size but I need to remove the ring and a touch of diameter to make mine perfect:thumbup:

With all regards and due consideration of the various political beliefs and opinions held by this forums members, I'm sorry but I can not let the title of your post go by without reference! :p :foot:

Great photo's too!!!

I'm planning to 'race' my Bonecutter and GRS... if the BC arrives in time. :(

Won't be a fair fight since it's 18" vs 21", though. I'm interested in seeing two of the same size compared. Just going by the pics I think the two models seem fairly similar.
