Here is an almost 16 inch AK (7/16 thick, 1.75 pounds) made and marked by Kumar. It is very nicely done and has the magic stone mirror finish. Fit, hardness, everything is typical Kumar quality and he even took the time to deburr! Karda and chakma almost 3/16 thick and quite substantial. Sarkis were sober and got a good do on scabbard and frog.

So, what's wrong with the knife. Grain lines in the handle may open up into cracks. Or, maybe they won't. Nobody but HI would call this a blem.

Take $25 off for the grainline and $10 off for Father's day for a total of $35 off regular. This means you get this Kumar Ak for an even $90 delivered to your door.

Call or email if interested.

Matthew, sorry to say not everything is. I got in a shipment just today and ten 10 inch Kumar Kardas had no mark on them. I think they must believe that only khukuris should be marked. But then there are the Bowies and they mark them. I can never outguess them.

But they are going to get the message sooner or later. I am going to sell the Kumar kardas at $25 of regular price. They will get the message sooner or later.

Regular is $55 for 10 inch Kumar Karda. I am selling them for $30 because they are unmarked. BirGorkha can handle the loss the best way they can. I am tired of the blades coming in unmarked.

Khukuri FAQ

Believe me ive been tempted, but im trying to hold out for something a bit larger. If someone dosent hurry and buy it though i might not be able to stand the pressure.

Got this one yesterday, very nice! It is a bit dull, especially at an area near the tip. I have not been able to get an edge on it. I am probably going to need a diamond hone to get an even edge on it. Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.
