Hey folks! Can anyone give me some info on the 160 OT? This is my favorite knife and I would like to know more about it. Does it have a name? What type steel is it made from?
Thanks for any info you can provide.

This is the brass-half hilt hunting knife, isn't it? Almost 10" long, about 5" of that is a wickedly upswept blade. I think Schrade calls this the 'Mountain Lion'. It was used in the early 1990's as one of Schrade 'Federal Duck Stamp' knives. Maybe other limited/special editions as well, because it is an impressive knife. Has a good quality leather sheath with sharpening stone pouch.

I don't think this is still in production, although I am no Schrade expert. I bet this is a Carbon steel blade. Schrade does offer still the fine looking 153UH 'Golden Spike' in Stainless.

Thanks Tex! That's the one. My father gave it to me about ten years ago and I love it. Quick reply too. I should have come here first instead of wasting my time searching the web.

The 160 OT pattern has been a favorite for years attached is a picture of the sawcut OT model as well as the DU edition. Schrade resurrects this style on various issues they come out with now and again, the OT models are carbon any thing else is usually ( but not always ) Stainless. Pardon my text on the attachment I did it in a hurry. the pattern is 160 OT. LT
