I have collected 30+ leeks and learned quite a bit about various models, but this black coating thing on the CKT's is making me nuts.
One seller advertises his CKT saying it has a Titanium-Nitride (TINI) coating.
Another seller says their CKT has a Tungsten DLC coating.
A third seller claims their CKT has Tungsten-DLC (TINI) as if it is all the same thing. Can anybody explain this for me?

I know that at least on the Avalanche, Kershaw changed from a Ti-Ni coating to the Tungsten DLC coating. They are completely different chemistries. I have seen both coatings currently advertised on different web sites in describing the Avalanche, though I havn't seen anyone combine them. I figure that either some dealers have old stock, or they haven't updated their descriptions. Perhaps Kershaw also made such a change on the Leek. As for your fellow who describes a "Tungsten DLC (TiNi)" coating, well not all dealers are up on all the fine details. He made a boo-boo.
