This thing is beautiful, very sharp too. When did leeks start coming with a zippered pouch? Or is that just for this one?
 
Got mine today also. Very sweet. I'm looking forward to putting it to use.
The 1660 VIB came in a pouch also. I'm not sure what others may have
came with one.
 
Yeah, all of the VIB's I have come in wool lined pouches.
The Boron's come in Tins.
I thought the SS's came in a pouch or tin, but the SS Leek that
I got today is in a regular box. :(
Now I gotta go look, I swear my SS Chives are in tins........

Antihero17, nice pick-up. I'm awaiting a couple as well.

Ive never had a leek come in a pouch. This is going to be a regular item not a limited run right? I am thinking of putting this one to use and getting an extra, its looks so nice its hard to use it but on the other hand I am dying to use it lol.
 
i just got my leek yesterday as well (got 2 one for me one for a friend) and neither came in pouches but they were both manufactured in 2004

He's talking about the composite bladed leek.

My CB came with a pouch too. Nice touch, although since I'm EDCing the leek I just threw my old EDC into the pouch :p.

When I opened the package I saw a large kershaw box and figured I got the wrong thing at first lol. All my other leeks have come in boxes that were not much bigger than the knife.
 
My 1660CB arrived today as well. Mine also came in a zippered pouch. I love the composite blade. Like the 1660DAM though, I don't really care for the SS handle. So I swapped the handle from a 1660TIZDP. Now I have a TIDAM, TICB and 2 SSZDPs. anyway you configure them though, the composite blades are badass.

I swapped the titanium handle onto the composite blade but the blade was very close to touching the handle, didnt center well at all.
 
I know it would bump of the prices but I don't really care... I really wish these specialty blades came with specialty handles. The CB Leek would have been so nice with gold Ti handles like the Tyrade(which for me is too big... and I don't like the CF). Same goes for the Dam. I swapped my Dam into smooth G-10 handles and plan on swapping the CB into the Ti handles from my ZDP.

I agree, except for the gold color. I wish the composite blade was more centered in my Ti handle

Well mine was never centered, even brand new the zdp blade just barely clears the handle, the composite blade seemed to be rubbing just a tiny bit so I just put them both back to normal.
 
My Ti handles are the same way... but not as bad. The G-10 and SS handles line up nicely.
