the title says it all.

this knife is more beautiful than any pic can show. the g10 handle looks as if it is carbon fiber, but i know it is not. enjoy the show...

yes this knife is my edc. if you want some real hi-def pics, let me know.

I wish they would satin finish the regular leek, but I guess that would increase cost. I'm very tempted to pick one of these up just to swap the blade into the steel framelock.

In a sub 4" folder I don't mind a liner lock. But when I have a 4"+ folder I prefer a more solid frame lock. There's nothing wrong with the liner locks on the Leek IMHO. The Whirlwind is another story, I've seen the liner locks wear quickly and travel all the way up the width of the blade. The liner lock problem developed about 3 years after I bought it, and was well used by that point. Not a huge problem, but I didn't like it.

The G10 Kershaws are snazzy. I recently ordered an Avalanche that looks similar but has the black S60V blade. No flipper, but the blade and handle material were my main reasons for buying it.

i had a chive with this kind of lock. would i trust it with my life? no.

i did trust it as an edc though. without abuse, it will last.

Yeah for EDC the liner locks are fine, fixed blades are for hard use. My Leek has a liner lock too. But I don't plan on swinging from Leeks on monkey bars like they do in the CS videos. And I don't plan on using the handle of my Leek to climb walls with. I'd like to see someone try it just for shits n' giggles! As goofy as the Cold Steel videos can be, they are entertaining. For the first 15 minutes atleast.

i have two cs folders. i have never felt a lock as tough as a cs.

when you snap them open it feels like you are slamming a car door. :)

The X2 Voyagers resemble the sound of racking a pump shotgun. Fling one of those open and half of the audience pees their pants! *Cha-Clank*

biggerjon, that is a tough Leek to find. Sweet pick up, and one of my favorite Leek variations.

thank you !

i have been telling my friends about this leek as well. the person on ebay that i bought it from still has a few more.

if anyone wants the seller's store, i will post it.

How much thicker is this leek compared to a framelock leek? The reason I really like the framelock is because it's very thin and I'll often forget I'm even carrying it.

I have got to stop this madness!! It's all youse guy's fault. Just picked one up off the bay :). Seller now has two left.

they must be about the same size. there is no added girth to this knife due to the lock.

ron, i know what you mean. one of my friends just bought one today too. you will love this g10 handle. it is addicting to hold on to. of course the s30v blade is stunning and sharP.

Biggerjon,
Just bought one this afternoon from the bay. Can't wait to get my hands on it!!!
