16th Annual Fountain Pen Super Show

That's the first hobby that has struck me as strange, I like pens but not that much.
Enjoy your trip, I used to own a cross 24kt gold filled pen/pencil set and it was stolen, pissed me off SOOOOOO much.

I do love fountain pens! I own several Vintage Pens as well as a few modern pens. Steven

A lot of my pen making buddies will be there. I'll be at a jewelry show in Atlanta.

Well I don't understand it much either, but I imagine they wouldn't understand why I carry more then one knife. Or why I would spend more then a "hundred bucks" on a pocket knife. Different hobbies for different people. :)
I get to hang out with my brother for the weekend so it works out great. Visit family, enjoy a fountain pen show. :)

Anybody I should seek out and say "hi" to??

Check out the guys that are part of the Pen Maker's Guild. They'll have a logo stating that they are a member. They are guys that make their own pens, and you have to submit a pen and be voted in by their council. The pens need to be unique and/or made by new techniques. We just had an article in Stylus this month and last month, and my pen and others in the Guild were highlighted. There is some really good stuff made by those guys.

I had a blast at the show.
If you get the chance, go to a local pen show.
I picked up 2 new fountain pens, and won a 3rd one. :)

Hey Blades, what'd you pick up and/or win? Names, pictures, and descriptions, buddy.

I missed it this year. Hoping for next year.

(And yes, some of us understand why you'd carry more than one pen and more than one pocketknife - thus saith the guy with a Benchmite in one pocket, a G10 Robin in the other, a 1946 Parker 51 in the placket of his shirt, and a Conklin Duragraph in a leather sleeve in his bag...:))
