.....

Sounds to me like you would appreciate a Benchmade 710 with M2 steel. Very smooth, nice recurved blade, big handles and very secure with the Axis lock. It also holds a very good edge and is easy to sharpen when needed. My only reservation would be possible grit messing with the lock. I haven't had any problems with mine but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen. The Axis works much better than a liner-lock with gloves on IMO. Probably this knife has the best blade profile of any that I own and brings a smile to my face everytime I carry/use it.

Jeff Randall of Randall Adventure Training, Tactical Knives fame AND Bladeforums poster, did a review of the Miliary. I think that blade should do you great. The pointy tip will be great for finer work. Get something fun at the show, as you have utility covered well.

You will really enjoy the Steel Heart! It is impressive to say the least. The Leatherman is a great choice for a mutitool also. As for folders, if you already have an LCC, a Military, and a TNT - you have some damned good choices already!! I would probably just go with the LCC.

You mentioned needing to use the folder outdoors and getting grit in it so you might want to consider getting something relatively cheap with a strong lock. That way if you scratch it all up and get it all dirty, you won't worry about it. If you plan on getting it really really dirty, you might want to get something you can take apart and clean later.

I would have suggested the Spyderco Wegner, but you can't take that one apart and if you get it dirty, all you can do is hose it off and try to dig the stuff out of the handle.

BlackRazor,
It looks like you already have some fine folders and I think any of them would serve you well. My Leatherman wave has a serrated blade, so I probably wouldn't want a combo edge. If you are looking to fill a out a carry combination , I think I would look for something to take care of delicate work in a folder. IMO nothing beats a fixed blade for glove work, maybe a smaller fixed blade, wtih horizontal or small of the back carry, would be in order. Just my thoughts.
Regards,Greg
