I have a 347 Vantage Pro. I really like its blade but not much else about this knife. I like the blade's size, shape and excellent hallow ground grind. I don't like its riveted frame that does not allow for much adjustment or its rather unrefined action. I undesrtand this is a good knife fo $60 but I wish I could find something nicer with a similar blade even if I have to spend more money.

I'm thinking that the 172 Mayo TNT might be what I am looking for. Does anyone here have both knives to compare them?

I had the TNT, bit hard to find these days, it is a quality knife. However, I found it just a tad small for my hands while the Vantage is almost a perfect fit for me.
I had the carbon fiber version which was a grail of sorts for me, but sold it to a motivated buyer who tracked me down since the price was right and again, it just didn't fit me as I wanted it to.

There are custom makers out there who work on the Vantage line, rehandling them and such. That may be an option for you also.

Thanks for your advise. I was able to get a NIB TNT today at a fair price. I'll report back with my impressions once I get it.
