18" AK at Rest

I enjoy seeing everyone else's khuk pics so I thought I'd share one I took last weekend.

Also, as a teaser, here's one of the Villager & Machax that I'll be comparing... eventually.

Actually, I started doing the performance comparison last weekend but had to stop because of darkness & couldn't resume the next day due to a jammed thumb. (Don't ask... BTW, it wasn't with a khuk, Harry.

Nice pix, Brian! As for your thumb, I always worry when I hear of an injury, but am glad that a khukuri was not involved.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. Harry, the thumb got swollen but it would have hardly qualified as an injury. I'm back to flicking my new LCC so all is well with the world.

Thanks, bro. Plenty more wood to go around if you ever get back up this way.

Using fingers to pick up pins???

My wife & daughter had me convinced that it was my feet's job.

Uncle, I forgot to add that it's an activity I try to avoid.

Thanks, Jay. The 18" AK is a great khuk. I'm sure you'll be happy with one.

Will, I honestly can't offer performance conclusions at this point. We lost light shortly after I started chopping with them. However, after only a half dozen or so chops with each, I'd say the Villager has a slight lead. This is probably due to its weight distribution & positioning of its sweet spot.

My thumb is healed enough so I should be able to complete the comparisons this weekend. I'll post additional pics and my review early next week. As Uncle says, stay tuned...
