18" Balance Model and AK Cleaver

The AK Cleavers are coming next shipment.

The 18" Balance model is being made right now.

Yangdu listens to us.
edit- further follow up: two weights, a 26 ounce version and a 28 ounce. We'll see how they do- and there are always folks who like a faster blade, and those who want more work out of it.

Excellant, I'm on the list for a cleaver, and would also like an 18" Balance, but I think the review should be by you or someone else that has ability to compare several different khuk's. But I still want one!

Yangdu, please add my name to the 18" Balance want list. 26 ounce.

18" Balance :eek: I gotta see this. There'll be zombie body parts flying willy nilly when the boys get their hands on these. ;)

We are all of us going to want to see if a 26 ounce Balance can chop as well as a 28oz Wll or even AK. The weight is distributed even more forward because of the narrower shank or portion of the blade just above the bolster area. I don't know what will happen. Maybe the 26 will be a great martial arts blade and general use khuk, the 28 leaning more to work. There's not that much weight difference, but when you've put more of it forward.....it 'balances' different.

My Munk Chunk Cleaver claimed another porkchop last night. A little overkill to butterfly a chop, but the seax was dirty and needs an edge touch up. You guys gotta get one of these:)

I want one of those cleavers too. They seem like big old buggers. Big knife good. I may have to restrain myself. Saving for an anvil you know. Those aren't cheap either.
 
Talk about fast responses! I hope it has the unique cho. I am definitely in line to get one of these guys in each size if possible.

I do understand, but with the response we got from our little "what if" I think we should run her for Congress.

I'll have to dig my own Balance out to see what the cho looks like. I didn't ask Yangdu about chos. I think the three hole cho is not out of HI shop, but Ram's father. (the other 'sarge)


If this thing is as beautiful as the reg Balance, and actually balances, I think it'll be one killer khuk.

I'm curious to see if the balance improves chopping and swinging. I can only think it must.
