That's a very nice and handy little carry knife.
Especially like the blade profile for such a little knife.

A tapered tang would even kick it up a notch or two in my opinion.
Is that a Josh Kehn Lanyard? Again, it's a nice and handy addition to this design.

Thanks Kevin!
No the lanyard was made by Brian over at First Rate Gear.
I am going to attempt a tapered tang as soon as I get my grinder built. I do not dare do it on my 2x42 Craftsman.

Great looking knife, Ernie! I'm curious why you don't want to attempt a tapered tang on your Craftsman.I have one in the works (rough grinding is done), and didn't find it particularly difficult on mine (I do have a ceramic glass platen installed, though).

A couple reasons really, One is its way fast and the platen is not flat. I am waiting to buy glass for the new grinder and not waste it on this one!

Yep, I can see that. To me the speed just means I use less pressure, but I agree, I wouldn't do it on the crappy platen that comes with the grinder. Oh, and get a welder's magnet before you attempt it - it makes holding the blade a WHOLE lot easier.

Thanks Kevin!

Good decision.
Tapered tangs not only distinguish a knifemaker as at a higher skill level, but distinguishes the ones with better equipment. ;) :D
