Dan, I will check at work on Wednesday. We may have some drop off.

I will let you know.

Thanks Mike
I've checked local and all they have is 20 and 24 Gage in full sheets..

if they do have some Mike let me know how much.$$ with shipping..

I'm making a roll mill type leather cutter to cut out Marbles reproduction sheaths I've been making for a customer, this will make things so much easier..
I need the sheet steel for the back up tray under the die cutters..
it has to be .050 +- .001 so I can repeat the trays once worn out..
the rolls won't be adjustable on this one...
I bought one of these mark III 's and want a bigger one :)

Looks like a handy machine Dan!
Beats the crap out of cutting the leather with scissors don't it, lol!
What do you make the dies out of?

it has ribbing steel with just a rounded cutting edge, never needs to be sharpened..it just wears down after a long time
the shape is cut into the piece of plywood which
holds the cutter in place
up right
this machines upper roller is coated with a plastic which aids in the cutting
the die cutter which goes all the way through the wood
is backed up with a lower steel roll
to look at it you'd think twice about it working..it will cut up to 5 layers
of card stock at a time too:eek: it a little more complicated then that but it's the jest of it..

it does shear at an angle at the ends if the leather is thick 10oz but I'm using 7 oz on the marbles so it's good to go..

Dan,
I may be able to get some from my brother in law. If I can, I will bring it to the show this Sunday.
