Hi gents I posted up question in the past for 14-15" but extending that now to 18+ inches.Just wondered if there are any heavy aka greater than 1/8" machetes in that length, with a decent point? The kershaw camp 18 would be perfect but does not get great reviews here in Australia for heavy work. Any other bush sword type options also considered.

yep getting a 3mm thick condor el Salvador 18" as my work blade.

this heavier machete idea is more of a novelty. Condor doesn't appear to have stabby tips in its heavy machetes, as in spear or cutlass type.

Ontario knives makes a great machete for a very reasonable price. They make them in various lengths up to 22" or 24" I believe.

Machete specialist has the Martindale 18 inch pointed bolo which is very popular in Jamaica as a do it all tool.
