We have old faithful and we have the old master, Bura, who did this 18 inch, 22 ounce Sirupati in his usual excellent fashion. This is a 10/10 rig with the following exceptions.

There is a crack in the handle about 1 inch long at bolster, back of handle. It's a superglue fix. The scabbard took a hit somewhere along the way and got dinged with a small tear on the front of scabbard -- maybe 1/4 inch. If you look closely you can see it in the pix -- about mid length. Black rubber cement or just some Kiwi black shoe polish fix. And, the scabbard is tight. It's been here in Reno and leather shrunk due to no and low humidity. A trip to a more humid home might fix it but a little routing inside will get the job done for sure.

Because of the above irregularites we will discount this rig $40 and deliver it to your door for $85.

Call or email if interested. $85 for this Bura crafted blade is a good deal.

Alan,

I got my flute a week ago and have been playing everyday. Trust me, its worth saving the $$ for

But Uncle Bill doesn't make it easy with UBDOTDs flying around like bats in a research cave

Rob,

I e-mailed Odell a couple of days ago (I can't call from the shop) and I am waiting to hear back. If he doesn't get in touch by tomorrow, I'll go home and call him at lunchtime.

I'm glad to hear you like your flute. Did you get the Golden Eagle?

This has been a day! I got a Bura coming, and I finally got through to highspirits.com. Odell and Anna were away on the road and I was on the list of e-mails to answer...

Yvsa, I did really consider your advice, and was going to get the Golden Eagle. But Anna actually changed my mind and I got the Condor in E. When I mentioned how I felt about its (and the D's) sound, Anna said that it was the one I should get. She felt that the E would actually be easier for me to learn on than the Golden Eagle, and if that one was calling me, I should go with it. However, she did say that the D would be harder to learn on. That flute will be for later on.

I was conservative, no tourquois inlay, no bag (although I might try my hand at making one), and alas, no Express shipping

I figure it will get here in its own time (practicing patience).

Yvsa, thank you so much for pointing me down this path. It promises to be an interesting journey...

AC ,
The NDN is conning you , he gets a % on all the flutes sold! hee! Just think how many K's you could have gotten! Now, if that NDN gets ME to get a flute, that will be "one" of the biggest con's of all time!!

Jim,

It would be a waste of money for you to get a flute... all that bat gauno (sp) would plug up the holes
