Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum and excited to learn a little bit. Does anyone know if the 18xray switchblade will be made in the tanto style? Thanks.

OK.. shows how out of touch I am with one of my favorite knife brands. Well, I like the oldies, is all I can say. And being a civilian, my government can't trust me with an automatic, so I don't pay much attention to them.

Welcome aboard the forums, Mike! As you can see by some of the other threads, the workers at Camillus are on strike. Information from the factory is not readily availabe at this time.

Well that stinks, I'm an Officer and was looking to buy an 18xray. Oh well, I quess the hunt is still on......Nice to know why they can't reply to my emails though.

I don't think Camillus sells retail anyway. The link I posted above seems to stock them though.

Michael,

I saw one at a dealer at a local gun show on Sunday so they are out there.

I apologize if your email has not been answered regarding the 18-Xray. There are 2 of us in customer service and unfortunately we are a little behind due to our circumstances.

This is an automatic (Darrel Ralph design) with a 3 7/8" blade, 154 CM Stainless Steel with Diamond Like Coating. The handle is 5" hard anodized 6061 aluminum and features a lanyard hole, pocket clip (tip up or tip down carry) and is available in plain edge or partially serrated. This knife is manfactured and issued to the Government/Military, it is not available through Camillus Cutlery Co. for the consumer however, Here is a list of some of our authorized dealers/dist. in which you would be able to purchase the 18-Xray automatic knife.

One Stop Knife Shop Louisville, KY 502-671-5510
Deepak Chopra Livermore, CA 925-454-0595
Cove Cutlery Charlestown, RI 401-322-1311
Nemo Dist. Whiting, NJ 732-350-8639

A D. Ralph designed automatic for police and military. You can't trust ordinary citizens with these, you know!

Doesnt make much sense does it? If i have my pants on i also have a 9mm or .45 strapped on and a good knife! but the knife is many times a small fixed blade which is much faster than an auto knife since it's always open and in play as soon as it is drawn.so what is it with switchblades that frightens the lawmakers? and are citizens really that GULLIBLE? my .45 and my fixed blade or even a folder can cause malice in the hands of a malicious being, but that darn knife with a spring in it... now that thing'll kill ya extra dead!
