I don't know what is going on but I picked up a mint 18ot a few days ago and just got a 34 (not mint, but plenty nice). Will post pics of the 34 when it comes, but I can't believe I snagged this little guy.

One small crack if you can see it in the 2nd pic, but nothing to trip about.

Thats awesome man! Maybe the gods are looking down upon you in preparation for your upcoming child lol. Congrats!

Very nice knife, bud. I had a friend and co-worker that used that same model Old Timer. I never saw Darrel fail to cut whatever he needed to with that little Mighty Mite.

Carl.

Thanks Carl...I do question the necessity of a liner lock, but...well, it's a neat little guy.

Nice score. Since the Imperial-Schrade Corp went out of business in 2004 those original Old Timer knives have proven themselves to be immensely 'collectible' and continue to increase in value. Those brown handles are instantly recognizable, and practically everyone remembers an Old Timers from their past.

A similar-sized model but without a liner lock is the 12OT, if you're looking.

I have a 12ot which, actually, I like a lot more. More blade, about the same size. I have too many knives. :)

That was my Dads favorite knife for 15 years, then they got to hard to find on a regular basis. he probably went threw at least 16 of them maybe more. Plus he hates stainless steel. I now have him hooked on the kershaw leek composite blade.

I've been after one for a while and just happened into a good deal. Neat little knife. I can see why your Dad was so fond of em.

Yep, bit me a little today. So, it's my knife officially now. :)

I picked up one of those last year. Nice little knife; it stays handy here at my desk for desk type chores.

It´s a cool nice looking knife. Is it a linerlock modell? It looks like this to. How do you like the liner lock? Imo the liner must be pretty thin.

Congratz to that one!

Kind regards
Andi

I like the liner lock. Kind of unnecessary, but it adds a little charm to the knife. It's a solid little knife. I would still go 12ot for daily carry (I like a little more blade), but I got this one for a good price and have always found them intriguing. It's like a little knife with big aspirations. :)
