Here is a 1870s-1890s surgeons scalpel. She has a 4 3/8" (8" OAL) Damascus blade and a carved ivory handle with German Silver fittings. The blade is very thin, very sharp, and will flex 60deg at the tip. I wanted to make something different and useful at the same time. After seeing a picture of an old scalpel I decided that It must be put on the list of knives going to Baltimore next month.

I would appreciate any comments you may have.
Thanks,

Dale, that is just astounding. And a beautiful knife. I need to ask, what sort of sheath would this go in, or some kind of holder / case ? Jason.
