Good question. I've been using the stick version of the Blue Loctite lately. It seems to work for my needs. I don't know the number.

I don't know that I've ever had issues with my knife oil interfering with Loctite. I'll be curious to see answers if anyone has any.

243 is better if you’re lazy and don’t want to clean oil off your screws before applying the loctite but it isn’t worth buying more if you already have 242. But yes, 243 is better.

Thanks, yeah I got the 243. Just incase some oil gets near it, it should hold up better hopefully. I appreciate you. Note: I saw a few articles to confirm that Spyderco has been using #243 in all their builds.
