I have gotten some really good news, my Patent has been approved and we made some cool improvements on the 1911 Combat Survivor Bowie.
The 1911 Combat Survivor is an eight inch fixed blade Bowie based on a 1911 Colt 45 grip frame. It has a survival clip that is stored in the handle, if you want you can carry an extra clip for your .45 in there. It has a mag. release just like the pistol.
The door of the compartment is a diamond hone for sharpening. The survivor clip has a Leatherman Micro, magnesium and ferro fire starter, needle for sewing, a length of synthetic sinew for snares, fishing, sewing, a bow string etc. and fish hooks inside. It has capacity for a .45 round and a flashlight is attached to the lanyard.
I did a field test on the knife and wrote a blog about it, If you want you can check it out here; http://1911combatsurvivor.blogspot.com/

When I first started this project, I started a thread, here's a link if you want to read up; http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...orking-version?highlight=1911+combat+survivor
See you at the Blade show,
Thanks for looking.
