Here are some links for those interested, to get a better idea of what I'm talking about. If anyone has a knife with a 1911 handle, please let me know, as per my OP. I can't find any locally to physically handle, and money is tight so I wanted some hands on opinions, if possible, before I buy.

I love my 1911's, and want a knife that matches them. Kinda the same way every traditional muzzeloading guy I know (including me) has a frontier/green river/bowie to go along with their Traditions Hawken or whatever.
There is a gentleman in Alaska, (Mark Knapp Custom Knives) that makes an interesting 1911 knife.
It is a fixed blade called the 1911 combat knife. It actually takes a special 1911 magazine with survival items in it.
It seems like a well thought out custom knife. It is not cheap, but what is and is still unique and solidly manufactured.
This I had to see. And you are indeed correct. It is silly, hilarious, dumb, and expensive.

Wow. Just wow. That's a bit much. Hafta agree, I want one just for the hell of it! Looks clunky as hell. That one looks more attractive than pretty much every other 1911 knife.

However the grips look different from actual 1911 grips.
