1911 grips in!

Got mine today too. Olive Drab. Going on tonight when I get home from work.

Are they regular width? I like thin grips.

Yup. At least mine are. Very nicely done, although I did notice the pattern on mine is different on each one. One side has a nice zig-zag pattern to it, and the other has the same pattern but it's wavey. Weird. I'll post some pics later

I bought some too even though I don't own a 1911. :p

I do think the red/black will look very nice on a blued pistol.

It'll have to wait though. I just picked up two imaginary guns, ordered a crap load of imaginary magazines, and still need to stock some imaginary ammo in several calibers. Of course, all this is purely in my imagination. I sold all my real guns years ago.

The black and tan have a bluish tint which will look awesome on the para-ordnance midnite blue .45

In my delusions, I looked at that very gun at Academy Sports the other day. Anyone know much about the PAs?

i got blk g10 and tigers. one of the tigers is oiled, very orange.

ive got sets of snake and blk micarta too somewhere. anyone know where they are???

para's sa autos are of good quality. we have one officer carrying one, and it shoots well.

long beach (ca) used to issue para lda double stack .45's, and had issues with the magazines. turned out they were a bit fragile and tempermental. i have read that that has since been corrected.

the lda series shoot nicely also, but the trigger mechanism is a bit delicate. there is just a thin peice of metal for a trigger bar, and we had several break on the range. we no longer authorize the lda series because of those experiences. great recreational gun, bad duty gun, imo.

but the fit/finish on every para i have handled (used to own one) has been very good.

Here's my OD set. Replaced the set on my S&W that a friend gave me.

Those Olive drab look good, but the black and tans would be AWSEOME. They have a lot of blue and grey in them.

Yeah, I thought about the other colors. I really considered the black and OD's though. I also thought the black and orange would look cool too, but then it kinda defeats the purpose of going matte and non-reflective. :p

Several sets of Tiger Hides came today - each is a little different and all are great looking with enough texture to keep the hand from slippng. Excellent! Bill
