Howdy all. In which subforum would I find discussion of the 1911 folders?
TIA, Ray

I dont know, if we are thinking about the same knife, but I believe, that Wilson Combat at one point did offer a knife with a handle resembling the slabs of a 1911 - if thats the one you are referring to?

Yes, uses standard 1911 grip panels. They were previously sold by Ultimate Equipment, now sold by Gunner Products.
I know Wilson did (Does?) sell em'.

Not alot of love for these here, I guess.

I used to have a link for a folding version that used actual 1911 scales. My computer burned down on me, not literally but figuratively, and I lost that link. I ma going to try starting it up one more time this weekend, as before it crashed, it put all my stuff in a backup file. The video card went bad, and it was hit-or-miss whether it would start up. Bought new computer Friday.

I have two other knives of the 1911 variety, though neither uses actual 1911 scales. Just scales that appear like 1911 stocks. The smaller one is from Lone Wolf, and is no longer in production. The larger one is from Foster Knives, and they still make them in several varieties. The pistola is a Kimber CDP I Iwith red/black carbon creations stocks.

Don't think there is a sub forum for these. They are rarely discussed here.

Robert,

The Foster Knife that you have pictured is something I would be interested in. Do you know much about the Company? I looked at the web page and find available knives, but no pricing anywhere. I like small company's with some soul built into their knives. I've been kind of lost since Lone Wolf was bought out by Benchmade. If you read this please let me know where I can order one. Also, I's like to have your opinion on a smaller maker who makes quality knives... Thanks, Enjoy the Holidays!!!

Wilson used to sell a fixed blade with standard 1911 grips. Easily been 2-3 years since I saw them last.
