Just got the older style thumb safety installed on my Colt Lightweight. How lucky was I to find a stock Colt safety not used in a local smiths shop!!

Damn thing matches and everything!!! Must have meant to be :)

I just like the unclutered look of the single sided safety and this one wont be "knocked" off like my extended one has before.

Sure has that warm "original" feel to the newer XSE Colt

congrads man:) i realy like my extended one because i have little girl hands:o but i had to mod mine cause it ket getting in the way of my crimson trace grips.

I had the safety on my Kimber be OFF after I know I had it on when I holstered the gun.

this one wont have that issue I dont think :) I always have the other one or I may even fit another single sided extended safety on myself. Dont look to be that hard....I may eat my words on eof these days too :)

Yo bro

If ya have the holster modded, it will keep that from happening...Molding it "engaged" keeps the safety on..Err at least it did on the last one I worked on

Grr I need another 1911!!

I have a nice Milt Sparks Watch 6 IWB holster with a body sheild.
That only happened 1 time so I am not sure what it may have been?

Going to shoot this one here in a few hours :)

Dude that Milt Sparks rig is top notch!!!

If it has a body shield make sure that the outline of the safety (engaged) is there

where ya shoot at over that way??

I just go behind my dads house about 3 miles away :)
