i badly want a 1911 , but even if i had my gun license it would still be hard to get one , so , how about a pic thread of nothing but busses and 1911s?

Nothin' fancy....just a standard Colt with Pachmayr grips and flat backstrap.
She's got some mileage on her, but still shoots straight.

Not sure what I like more, the grips on your OM Colt or those old SJs! Maybe they just look great together...

These have all been seen before, but here are a few of mine.

The only reason the Omega doesn't have Jerry's grips is that he didn't make them with the bottoms cut for a magwell.

They were offered during a past Extravaganzaa or two. Maybe at Blade last year also? I can't remember exactly. I keep hoping that Scott will have a bunch in various colors at the Store sometime in the future.

Although I don't mix firearms and knives in my photos, I do want to share some snapshots of a couple recent 1911 additions.

My latest is a Detonics USA CombatMaster, which now wears Larry Davidson G10 MonkeyGrips (the "Horned Lizard" variety):

I started the transfer for my second CombatMaster yesterday morning.

Another recent 1911 is an Ed Brown "Special Forces" in Commander length, Bobtail, and bare slide:
