I've only seen one or two pics that people have posted with the Busse grips on their 1911. Where are all of the pics? Please post umm if you got umm.

I've already posted these, but this thread can serve as a general repository:

How pathetic is this?

I don't own a 1911, but I very nearly went for some grips so that I could buy a pistol to match them. :D

I have been known to buy ammo (milsurp) for guns I didn't yet own.

It's a sickness.

Post more pics!!!!! :D

I found this post from Raden. Great looking set-up, and pic.

Got home from the range to find a package from Amy... Thanks Hun:D
Took me a while to decide where they should go, but I figure they will ride well on a 1911 S&W that I'll never sell... The serial # of the 1911 is my initials and the last four of my SSN:eek: The day I found it I knew there was no way I wasn't buying it :D

Edited to add... These are the Snakeskin grips from the shop, when they arrived they were alot lighter color that I care for so I brushed in some mobil 1 that I use for lube to darken them up nicely.

Ok, I finally got a chance to grab a pic of the G10 1911 grips that I picked up at Blade. I bought the G10 for a stainless 1911 that's on the short list to buy but threw them on the Kimber and fell in love with them on the Black.

Snake skin on a stainless Kimber.
Haven't decided if I want to do any sanding or not.
BTW what is the best way to bring the color out in these.

Here is Jerry's post about the Busse Combat 1911 by Les Baer.

Nearly every gun company has a line of knives bearing their mark and design influence. . .but the reverse has never been true. . . until now!!! :D

The official intro of the Busse Combat 1911 at the 2006 SHOT Show makes Busse Combat the first knife company in the world to have a gun produced bearing its mark and design influence. It is being produced by Les Baer Customs and is now part of their standard line. The knife that accompanies the Busse Combat 1911 is called the "Jack Hammer" and is an exclusive design for this project and is only available to the general public with the purchase of the Busse Combat 1911.

It is important to note that the "Jack Hammer" is in service with some of America's most elite forces in a desert tan finish with desert tan handles but doubt that any of these will ever show up on the civilian market.

I can't think a person alive that I'd rather have do a 1911.

That makes the set very very tempting. I wonder what the wait list is like.

I put in for a set of grips for my stainless Colt Gold Cup, we'll see what happens.

Here is my Colt Commander with the Busse black canvas micarta grips and the custom shop Mean Street I bought at Blade this year.

That is fluggin' suh-weeeeeeeeeeet, Porkducci !!!

Those other 1911 pics are Da' Bomb, also.....

I contacted Baer and they can't sell that Busse 1911 in California.

That was a quick way to saved $3,000.

Buy it anyway. I'll take care of it for you, keep it fed and exercised, and you can come by and play with it anytime you're in Alabama.

It is bad enough that I had to move some babies to a friends house in Nevada already.
