He's not posting about selling it, he's merely inquiring to it's value. You may say this is a form a marketing, however, anyone who has some common sense wouldn't be shaking in their seats to buy said knife without knowing a fair bit more about it's status.

That said, some people are just new and need to know the value of things. I came here looking to become more knowledgeable about many different portions of knives and their values to each respective class. Although with such an uncommon item such as the OP's, it isn't something he can look into the Exchange Section and see 3 of them for sale to roughly estimate it's value.

That said, I check out the exchange section once every few hours to determine what knives hold their value and if I'd be better to purchase from a user here or not.

So while the OP's intent may have been wrong, we can't know for sure. Especially since he can't PM and didn't list any contact information.

Really? I always skim the stickies, sometimes you stumble across something useful or interesting.

I just noticed his user name after reading spikebot587's post LOL...I don't think he could make it anymore clear that his intentions were to only use this forum as a free appraisal of his knife....

Nearly proven, I only read stickies that generally pertain to me, keywords generally include 'rules, FAQ, You may be banned'.
Regardless, my own fault.

No problem. The school of hard knocks often applies to the rules. I error'd too calling him a basic member versus a "registered user" like yourself Grim. I was spanked a number of times in the current events forum for political leaning threads. Then I just decided that it all wasn't worth the hassle and became a gold member.

I was considering buying the gold membership. I'm slightly leaning the other way, not that it'd make a huge difference for the website. I'll just err on the side of caution and not post as much. Not worth the hassle or time.
