In my spare time I make WW II in 1/6 scale . This will be part of a diorama of a street in France. Hope you like it.

Another impressive piece  . Please keep us updated with pic of your progress on the diorama....and anything else you have made lately for that matter.

It's mostly wood. The smaller more delicate items are heat formed plastic.
I have some of the background buildings done. I'll take some pics. shortly.
Thanks, Mike

These are other vehicles that will be on the street ( diorama ). The Panther tank is just about done .The halftrack is an early model Demag D7. The cannon is an early Pak 35. I have many blown up, twisted, and burnt wrecks that will also be there. You can get an idea of the size by the pic. with the yardstick.

That's soom real nice looking work there. I used to be really into building WWII allied armor a few years back, only 1/35 scale. I still have a few I made sitting around the house, and probably some unfinished kits too.

That is gonna be one pretty big diorama!

Thanks for the compliments. The halftrack took around 20 total hours to build and another 10 to detail. I made molds for the links and roadwheels and then cast them in resin. The rest is oak. The soft top is fine linin on an oak frame.
The Pak 35 cannon in tow is the master that I make molds from. It's all oak with brass hardware.
The tank is mostly pine . The links are resin from molds as will be the roadwheels. I forge most of the pioneer tools (they're all functional) but will soon just carve them out of plastic stock ( no burnt fingers ).
The diorama will be around 20' L x 8' H x 8' deep . When comepletely finished, I'll do a photo shoot. Then the whole thing becomes a big shooting gallery, just like the many that have gone before it.

Here's some of the building pieces. lets see if anyone notices what that is standing on end next to the building.

It provides a little bit of shade ( if you sit just right ) above my truck in the background here.
