The best scout/camp pocketknife ever made is undoubtedly the early Swiss Army Knives.
Thick carbon steel blades and a healthy 3 7/8” in length.
Although over 50 years old, these knives will outlast you and most probably your grand-children as well.
I had a friend in Switzerland hunt some down for me.
I specifically wanted them to be mechanically sound and in all round good condition.
He sent me three beauties.
This one was made in 1939 and I have installed yellow bone scales on the handle - set off with a red spacer.
It is a remarkable well made piece of history, a bull of a working knife.
