I haven't either Charlie, it was a Sears brand made by Camillus. I wonder what a bone type stag handle is??

I am beginning to be fascinated by the period advertising/marketing terms more and more.....

anybody got a " round-as-a-dollar? thoes are pretty sweet.- Joel

It came with a Nupearl handle and a lucky penny. It swept the nation! Hasn't hit Ebay yet.

And this one was going for 23 cents when it would have sold anywhere else in the world for 40 cents.

Advertising in historical terms is indeed fascinating.

Bone type stag handle - hmmm:rolleyes:. Period advertising with a confused copywriter. Nothing has changed.

And shouldn't that large banner say " The finest, most complete line of Cutlery Sears HAS (not have) ever offered"??

I just got an example of the Kwik Kut marked Sears Barlow, though it is not pristine, and I did pay more than 23 cents for it. But I thought you might like to see it, repinned, blade loss and all.
