This purchase arrived in the mail today.

According to tang stamps I think it's from the 1940's.
I've been doing many Google searches and haven't seen a can opener similar to this one. Does anyone have any info on the actual age of the knife, this variation of can opener or the knife in general?

The last picture doesn't really show up that well.

The tang stamp states.
CAMILLUS
CUTLERY CO
CAMILLUS NY
U.S.A.

Thanks in advance,

Ken K.

My guess would be a commercial offering, possibly for the Boy Scouts,(not all of them were marked), somewhere between 1915 to 1941. I believe this style can opener went out of favor pretty early in the evolution of the "utility/camp" knives.
