1943 MII Khukuri?

Hi Ya'll I ordered a K45 from Atlanta Cutlery, Sent It Back For An Exchange They Sent A M43! Cool My Good There Bad! Question?--It's Marked JNB43 Anyone Know What It Means? Thanks For Any Info! I'm Pleased With It's Condition A Few Minor Spots Of Corrosion But A Good Soaking Breakfree It Will Look Great!!

Why did you send the original item back?

It seems there are quite a few Indian made kukris among this cache including some really nice M43s. A few people have gotten these instead of what they asked for. It sounds like the AC folks are missing some of the subtleties of different models which wouldn't be difficult.

One thing to remember about the dates stamped on blades is that they may not reflect the actual year of production unless they're attached to a broad-arrow proof mark. They could be earlier. Usually scabbards will be more accurate.

JNB is a subcontractor from around Delhi. Any other marks?
 
The blade was not straight to the handle. No other marks on the M43-just JNB43, no browd arrow nothing accept JNB43! thanks for the info.
