The auction, says this is 1 of 100, special edition. I emailed the seller, and he said this was for 100 years of establishment. (He's from Canada) So I presume he means a 100th anniversary edition.
But I don't remember a 194 being used as a 100th year knife. And the pin doesn't match, and there is no 100th year on the knife.
So is this for something else, or is it mismatched from spare parts?

Mountainwind, I believe you know this is a seller's assemblage, on Old Timer knife placed in a classics tin with a classics pin. Maybe this seller didn't do it, and maybe he doesn't know better. Maybe it was in a box of knives he bought whoilesale from Blue Ridge. Go look at the classics flyers in the Collectors of Schrades r us website and see the differences to become familiar with them.

An 897UH with a 98OT blade? I bid...$200. On YOUR credit card!:D

Anyone want to buy a rare original classic Mustang with a Chebby engine, Pontiac grille and Volkswagon seats? I'll toss in the box and a cerfitikate from Carol Shelby!

Regarding the 98OT in the anniversary tin. I don't recall ever seeing an original 100th Anniversary Old Timer in a blue tin. It does appear there is something etched on the blade, but I can't tell what. And I can't read the tang stamp. I also can't read the print on the box.

It's possible the knife is a Chinese import, matched with a leftover pin, and placed into an oddball tin. Think of it as a commemorative, not worth anything but made to remind people of something that was once good.

Are there any more pictures?
