I bought this knife with my own money. It was a liner lock. I abused the knife terribly as a teenager. I threw & stuck it in trees a hundred times & the liner lock never failed. The scales popped off but, the liner lock never failed. The liner lock looked like brass or a mix of brass & copper. So, why is it the current Manufactures cannot provide a serious lock that never fails?
