Just received this beautiful set yesterday and wanted to show it off!
A father/son owned knife setup used for 50 years! The dad bought it in the 60's and
it has been used by both on many hunting trips. I am going to keep the set together but
thought the Randall needed its own sheath too...ordered an early Johnson Roughback to compliment
the knife. Thanks for looking!

Nice set-up, but the bad news is that's a late 1970's knife (spacer type); still, nice. Where are you getting the Johnson Roughback sheath? (I ask because both sheath making Johnson's are long dead)...

Received my sheath in the mail today. I am a little disappointed that I bought the story and not the knife - finding out the 1-6 dates to the late 70's was a blow but I am going to keep it.
The sheath is older than the knife and in the end, I am really happy with the set so that is all that matters!

A great set-up for sure! Those Knapp sports saw combos show up with different knives; I am pretty sure that one combination is with a Western Boulder knife as originally sold, but there might be others. Yes; by all means get a Randall sheath, too!
They have a set on eBay right now with a western Boulder knife. I’m considering it because it’s a cool set up but really have no use for it. Had not seen these sets until this thread.
