I had a buck swiss style multi blade back in the early 70's. Does anyone know the model name or # of those. Thanks

If it's one of the "SwissBucks" that were made by Wenger, there were many different models.

I thought SwissBucks were late 80s or early 90s. I don't remember them from the 70s.

Photos would help a lot!

I am looking at a smallish Wenger Buck multi. Can't find any model number or anything that tells me a date. It says Wenger, Delemont (sp), Switzerland and a symbol that is either a crossbow or umbrella.

Body is only about 2.5 inches closed

And WELCOME to the forum!!!!!

I have the catalog from '92 which shows 12 different models of SwissBucks the year they were introduced. If you are able to describe the "tools" it has, or post a picture I could match it to one of the catalog pictures and give you more info.

The SwissBucks are shown as available in catalogs from '92 thru '98 which is apparently when they were discontinued as they are not shown in the catalog or price list for '99.

FYI - in '92 Buck Knives was also the distributor for Swiss Army Knives (Wenger) in the U.S. and Canadas and had 25 different models of SAK's in the catalog as well as the SwissBucks.

Gypsy9590,

If you wouldn't mind, could you look up my SwissBuck model, please?

It has 1 large blade, 1 can opener/flat head screw driver, 1 can opener, 1 nail file, 1 philips head driver, 1 reamer, toothpick, and tweezers. It is black with a red Buck logo.

Thanks!

I just picked this up the other day and I love it! I like SAKs a lot and I like Bucks a lot, so I guess it's just natural that I like this knife so much. It even has a Buck-esque profile to blade. Also, it doesn't hurt that it is hair popping sharp!

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. It took a post today to remind me that you had asked for some help. From what you describe, it appears you have the model called GLOBETROTTER - Model #87533 - Catalog#7032 - "large clip blade, nail file/nail clearner, screwdriver/bottle opener/wire stripper, can opener, awl, Phillips screwdriver, toothpick, tweezers, key chain." In 1992 MSRP was $26.00

Hope this is the info you were after! Again, sorry I didn't get back to you right away.
;)
