Trying to determine the value of a knife I bought in 1980. It is a Gerber - I believe Mark II with wood/brass handles, leather sheath. It is a fixed dagger like weapon with about a 7 inch blade. SSN# 001029. Does anyone have thoughts on it's value or where I can find that information?

I just checked and I'm pretty sure a legitimate Mk II never came with wood/brass handles. Maybe it was altered by a previous owner, but if you bought it new, I don't think its legit...Plus with that serial number it would seem to indicate that it was manufactured in '69...I just got to thinking, it could be a commerative special edition...
