1980s Parker Custom Series hunting knife

These were made in Japan in the 80s. On one side of the blade is stamped Hand Made by DAM and on the other side is stamped Parker Custom Series.

Anyone know what kind of steel was used in these knives? Also, anyone know if DAM was a quality maker?
 
Most likely either Ichiro Hattori or Tak Fukuta, depending on the model.
Usually Aus8 in both cases.
Maybe you could post a photo.
