i made my first ebay purchase yesterday; an '84 Bulldog stag tobacco king sowbelly. blade steel is "hammer forged". is this a "user" steel for light to medium outdoor use (farm & hunting), or was this knife made to be more of a collector or "display" piece ? if user, any suggestions as to optimal edge bevel angle (per side) when it comes time to re sharpen (i'm assuming it will arrive with a reasonably decent edge as it has not been used (NIB).
