My health has been pretty bad lately,so I've been getting rid of my toys
so the wife won't give them away and I came across an article on Al Buck in
one of my 1985 Trapper magazines.
Anyhow,I used to spend a lot of good hours on here and figured you guys
would appreciate it.

That was a great read :)
Now I am curious which gentleman's knife Al liked to carry.
The "Gent" perhaps??

Mr. Gerry Blair the author of the article ^ is a retired Law Enforcement Officer. Still, living around Flagstaff. I have his book on "Predator Calling" which is good reading. He was inducted into the 'Predator Callers' Hall of Fame in 2003 in Silver City, NM. I like my Duke (the model Al could have been referring to) or Buck's Collectors Club offering of the drop point 112 for removing Coyote pelts. I've read enough to know both these gents mentioned above are great guys. DM

That was awesome! Thanks for sharing that with us. He said his favorite sharpening stone is a soft Arkansas and if he wants to show off he uses a hard Arkansas. That's great.

Looking at the article photo again, it sure does look like a 501 in one hand, and a container of honing oil in the other hand. :)
