Hi Everybody.... This is my first post on the forum (so I apologize for no pics). I recently added a 1987 525 AC to my Buck collection. It is a 525 Gent produced for the 1987 Americas Cup. It has translucent yellow scales (lucite?) and a logo tribute to Stars and Stripes. When I saw it, it instantly brought back memories of my late father, who was a sailor and AC fanatic. I was just wondering about any detail regarding the release and marketing of the knife. My knife came in a small 1"x 4" box with the AC logo on it. the paperwork was fairly generic and there was no LOA. Was that the complete packaging? I know the story of the 87 Challenge very well, but would like to know more about this knife... TIA - Ben

Hello Ben and welcome to the Buck forum. Your first post here. Here is a link to an older post I made about your knife.
Interestingly it shows up on the 1986 and 1987 price lists ($12.75 & $13.00) but is not pictured in the catalog.

yes... that is it. thank you for posting the pic. Did your knife come with a LOA? mine just had general Buck paperwork... nothing regarding the race or anything commemorating the event..
