This is the closest I could find in an old BCCI newsletter, a set of 3. The 1993 Special Projects list indicates an embossed sheath for the 102/501.

Turns out I have this set, the knives have a 1992 date code. Double sheath for the 102/501 and the 703 is separate. Moving stuff around and can't get at the cabinet at the moment. Apologize for the poor thumbnail, it's all I have to show right now. Hope this helps. /Roger

Welcome to the Buck forum, we do try to be helpful. OK.... so you purchased BUCK Ducks Unlimited knife set Rare Vintage Double sheath Kit 102 501 off eBay a couple days ago and now you want to know if you got a deal, right? Well, you know how old they are, 1992/1993, you also know from my post above how many were made, 3,700. And lastly you want to know what it's worth but you're not not allowed to ask that question here. See post #2 above by moderator RevDevil.

Let me answer the value question in a round about way, You purchased 2 used knives that originally came in a collectors set of 3. These kinds of sets only retain their value unused. You can now value your set on whatever a used 102 and 501 sell for adding something for a really neat sheath and however much the DU logo floats your boat. Functionally, they are standard knives. Rare? not really... all Ducks Unlimited knife sets are made in great numbers, they are the Girl Scout Cookies of the knife world, used for fund raising at DU banquets all across the country. My personal cutoff for defining RARE in modern Buck knives is a production of 250 or less. Now, having said all that, if you bought the set because it's really neat, which it is, and want to use it, you did...OK. Should you have been wearing a mask when you bought it...NO. Hope this helps. /Roger

Thanks, you did answer question, and I purchase 100's of knives off E-Bay and other auctions, I sell at knife shows, And the reason I did buy it is because I am a Buck fan, and have not seen this set before, I do need to know price range if I do sell this set.I keep some knives for collection, but sell the others, only want to sell what I consider a well made , quality knife. Like to know history behind these knives, and am no where near Einstein, so this is reason I come to this forum to ask the people more versed in Buck. Do owe RevDevil apology.

Great. Now I know what I have found at the BCCI meeting
roundabout nine years ago in the leftover boxes under the roof.
I was wondering what kind of knives would fit into this double sheath.
