I bought this older CRK from a reputable seller not really knowing much about it, no box, no date of birth card. It’s been carried and the edge has some very minor wear, but I’m not bothered with that at all. The action and feel is quite simply total PERFECTION!!! The overall feel of this compared to my Zaan, 31 and Inkosi is just substantially better all around.

I’ve done some research and I’m hoping everyone can help me confirm this model. I think it’s a regular Sebenza from 1995-1996??? The serial number inside the scale is A 99.

I can’t explain how excited I am to own this incredible CRK. This will be carried and used and passed down!!!!!!!

It is 1999 or later. The scale is from the 1st quarter of 99, so it had to be built after that
I am thinking the blade isBG-42, but will have to double check that.
Great find

Thanks Peter!!! I get the dunce award for not picking up on the 99 referring to 1999.

You were definitely in the right place at the right time. Those are getting harder and harder to find. Great score !!!!!!
All the original parts are there, it appears to be in good condition. Hopefully you got it at a reasonable price and don’t feel the need to put it away to be admired. It absolutely has plenty of life left to bring a smile every time you use it.
The Allen wrench for the 31 should fit the regular, so there’s no worry taking it apart down the road. It will have solid washers instead of the perforated washers like the newer Sebenza’s have.

Yes sir, it appears everything is in perfect working order. Zero lock rock, zero blade play, smoothest open and close I’ve ever experienced. It will be carried and used but not abused!!!! Appreciate the info on the Allen wrench!

Great find. Fantastic blade shape. Mine doesn’t sit in the safe, it gets used. :) Ajack60 Ajack60 hit the nail on the head…lots of life left, experience it, you’ll appreciate it.
