Here are the catalog pages form 1998 showing the Limited Edition jigged knives with the LE shield. There were 10 knives in the series for one year only. Lets start a picture show for these. Everyone please feel free to post any pictures you have of this series even if it's already been shown.

I just rembered, there is another knife in this series... the Millenium Trapper also had a LE shield. There were two variations, one jigged bone and the other smooth (plastic?). It was a Camillus contract SMKW exclusive so wouldn't be in the Buck catalog. Let's see some pictures of the Trapper. Were there any other knives with the LE shield?

Thanks ITE. Those sure are nice. I like how white the scale ends are. Mine are all very dark.
I think that was discussed before, were yours specially selected?

Here's two more... I think these knives belong to my son and his wife or there mine... I don't remember if I ever traded for them...

:)

Here's a 505... I guess I have one or two of them some where in a box...
:)

Seems like you just said in another thread you didn't know there was a 505..... can't keep track of them anymore can you....

Let's see some other pictures gang, don't let ITE and me do it alone.....

An "American Oak" posted all the way from Germany....thanks for sharing Herbert.

Here is the only picture of the Camillus/SMKW Millenium trappers I've got. Hopefully someone else will pleasure us with better ones. I believe this is the last contract knife Camillus ever did for BUCK. The model number is 334 but not stamped on the knife. The tang is only stamped 'BUCK' on the front. USA is stamped on the backside. My picture isn't great but notice there is a serial number engraved on the bolster. A number of these were assembled from parts and found their way into the market after Camillus's closing. There will be some identifying anomalies such as no serial numbers or odd shields. I think sometimes the rivet materials were different but can't remember. Real "BUCK" parts assembled by the same ex Camillus employees... are the knives legit or not?

First off, ITEs knives appear to be hand picked for the light color on the scale ends. I have seen very few if any that match his. Most are completely dyed brown bone scales. The large trappers assembled after the Camillus closing, usually have brass spring rivets and no printing on the blades and lack the round shields. I consider the top level large trapper to be serial numbered, as is usually the case some made it out not numbered, those are second level and third level is all the others. I am pretty certain that each handle type did NOT receive their own serial number in series but were numbered all in one run. Since the third level knives were assembled from Buck parts by the same guy that did them on the factory floor I feel liberal and consider them Buck Knives, abeit third level.
