1998 MOD Tempest.

I juts bought Another Tempest to replace my old one. It was a NIB 1998 Tempest. This thing is CRAP. There is a nasty Grind mark on the front of the knife that has been anodized over. The action is stiff, VERY stiff. Hard to open. The edge is kinda sharp not really. Over all the only thing good about it is strong lock up.
I know its an old model. And probaly had alot of bugs worked out in the manufacturing of the knife. But dose anyone here think that MOD will replace it. It is NIB and untamered with.

My much maligned Tempest went to knife valhalla yesterday. After trying to improve the lockup and blade play i filed too much off the liner causing it not to lock up properly thus effectively destroying the knie. THe thing was never much good anyway, far too stiff to open at first, and rough finishing on the handle.

I had it apart so many times greasing it with the proper grease that was brownells stainless slick, re gluing the rubber insert in and adjusting the damn liner screw... It's all over now
