Well this is my 1000th post, so to celebrate this event I am going to run a little giveaway.

All you have to do to be entered is post one of your favorite quotes, it doesn't have to be knife related. Your post number will be your entry number. When the contest is over I will use a random number generator to choose the winner. I will let this run for about a week or so.

The prize is a Gerber Artifact, a pretty neat little tool that would complement anybody's EDC nicely. I would also like to keep this in the US due to shipping costs.

Ill start it off: "Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow"

Good luck! :D

Fight Club book/movie

“Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken.”

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve." - Bilbo Baggins, Lord of the Rings, Fellowship of the Ring

"you can't let go too soon, and you can't hang on for too long, you have to find the balance" Morrie schwartz

i really could use another artifact, mine was confiscated at a concert.

From one of my favorite books, Dune; used as an expression of ill will towards someone. A fitting quote for this board, I think:

"May thy knife chip and shatter."

This was one of my moms favorites. You haven't been around the cup long enough to grab the handle.:D

"Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage" -- Anais Nin

Thanks for the giveaway

I work as an Network Engineer for a large ISP. I have the quote below in my email signature. However, somehow people at my company fail to get it.

"Success demands a high level of logistical and organizational competence." - General George S. Patton, Jr

Oh and thanks.
