I have a better idea. How 'bout if people who enjoy the estimable value of Bladeforums make a point of buying from SKS, in the hope that will partially compensate Spark for all the time and money he puts into keeping Bladeforums going?

Maybe we could even pay a little extra to show our appreciation ... kind of a reverse discount. :)
 
I try not to advertise that 1SKS pays for this site, so I'm not going to twist anyone's arms to buy from me. Regardless, I'll try to give you the best price I can.

I appreciate that. Actually I was just trying to get in touch with the store but there doesnt seem to be an email addy. Could you PM me the store email please? Its a little pricey to call from way over here.

An additional way to support BF is with a paid account, which costs considerably less than people think. A basic membership, such as mine, is only $10 a year. That's it! Of course, you get more bang for your buck as you go up the price ladder, but $10 is very little for what you DO get.

And if everyone who had, say, 1000 or more posts (and is out of school to be fair) ponied up only $10 a year, Spark would not have to continually pay out of pocket for all the upgrades and improvements that people expect.

I won't pay a dime for PBS. But I will give ten of them to Spark each year.
 
I didn't know you owned 1SKS, Spark. I'm from Louisville and I've bought my first ever Kershaw Leeks and Chive from you in the store like in 2003. In fact I've probably even met you and not know it. :) Keep up the forums and thanks for getting me into knives!
